James "Kokomo" Arnold February 15, 1901--November 8, 1968
Not a Hoosier, he got his name from covering one: Scrapper Blackwell's
Kokomo Blues, which later became Robert Johnson's
Sweet Home Chicago. He was forced back into music full time in 1933 when the 21st Amendment ended his successful bootlegging business.
