The difference is, in Martha Mitchell's day Republicans had the good sense to grab her and administer calming medications while she screeched into the phone. Nowadays they just let it happen and concentrate on how to work it into the next Facebook post.
I read today that Supreme Thomas's old girlfriend from the time of the Thomas v. Hill hearings has a new book out, and is now saying that what Hill and others described about Thomas certainly fits her experience of dating (shudder) the man. Check the WaPoo for the article.
Someone in my daily blog tour said that Ginny's voice mail to Prof. Hill was an indication that a bimbo eruption was about to occur. While I wouldn't describe Thomas's old GF as a bimbo in any way, it looks like Ginny's voicemail set off some truth-telling by her. I wonder how many more are out there, and feeling a growing urge to come clean?
