Unfortunately, Dave, the Supreme Court has already decided that the first bit of the Second Amendment was an oopsie and that you don't really need to be part of anything to own as many guns as you want, because freedom and argleblargle. I would've been nice to hear the conservative wing explain how this fits in with originalism, but if you love American Freedom enough you never have to explain yourself to the people.
As for Gregory, I couldn't help noticing that when questioning Greenwald he forgot to use the phrase "some people say," which he's always very scrupulous about using. I wonder why that happened.
Gregory's a rightwing tool, and he's very proud of that. It is, after all, something he has worked very hard to achieve.
So don't expect him to do anything other than give earnest blowjobs to guests that serve the rightwing/corporate agenda, and to ask the most specious and biased questions to any guest perceived as not being part of that agenda.
David Gregory has accomplished something I previously thought impossible: made me feel sympatheitc and supportive of Glenn Greenwald.
ReplyDeletePierce (who I criticized before) was pretty darned good on this.

I, for one, would like to see a discussion on what, exactly, a well regulated militia is.
