Saturday is Crispus Attucks Day, a celebration of the (probably) runaway slave shot down in the Boston Massacre.
Two weeks later, March 19, is the 50th anniversary of his namesake racially segregated Indianapolis high school, led by the immortal Big O, Oscar Robertson, winning the state basketball championship, a year after the win by tiny Milan which was the basis of the movie Hoosiers.
