Lucky for him, he died before he could get a load of Bobby Darin.

I dunno, since he approved all types of commercial dance-band arrangements of his stuff, Weill probably would have been fine with Darin's version. Not to mention Jim Morrison. And I'm sure that Lotte Lenya got a big kick out of the royalties, and how Darin's "Mack the Knife" put Weill's name on a much bigger popular map.
